Manga Review: Cat Street

"If you're not happy, then other people can't be happy."

Synopsis: Keito Aoyama started her acting career at a young age. After a certain incident, Keito stopped acting, and shunned herself from the outside world for seven years. One day, Keito meets with a stranger that urges Keito to go to his free school. Keito, only having the education of an elementary student, goes to the free school and finds out that everyone there has their own “special” problem. She befriends Rei Saeki, a former middle school soccer player, Kouichi Mine, a computer genius, and Momiji Noda, a clothing designer. The four students consider themselves “stray” cats and become good friends.

Story-10/10
The story of Cat Street follows Keito and how she changes from being a lonely outcast to a person with caring friends. The timeline of the story spans several years, from teens to their early twenties. The pacing of the story is great and the plot is always moving. Cat Street has a balance between romance and friendship. Keito does not immediately fall in love; she stumbles along the way throughout the story. The ending was satisfying, and I enjoyed the fact that the manga was short, only under 40 chapters.

Characters-10/10
From the four main characters, I liked every single one of them. The way they each solved their problems made the characters seem more realistic. We get to see them grow up and confront their past. None of the characters seemed generic. I was surprised how Cat Street was able to develop such characters in less than 40 chapters.

Artwork-9/10
The artwork from Cat Street differed from other types of Shoujo mangas. Again, the characters looked more realistic with this type of artwork, than the typical “anime” style looks. There was nothing to be surprise about from the artwork, but it felt clean and simple.

Final Score-10/10

Final Thoughts- Even though Cat Street was such a short manga, I thought that the manga was able to cover as much as it was able to. Nothing seemed forced out, nor the pacing of the manga changed due to its shortness. The characters are likable and realistic, which is a major plus for the manga. The concept of a person that is trying to live their life has been done a lot of times, but Cat Street makes the journey seem more realistic than other Shoujo mangas. I recommend this manga because it’s so short, but it’s really great. Recommended for anyone looking for a little bit more from a high school romance.

Manga Review: Fruits Basket

"If my memories are erased... can we still be friends?"- Tohru Honda

Synopsis: Tohru Honda lives in a tent after the death of her mother. She moves into the house of the Sohma, after her tent is destroyed by a landslide. The current occupants that reside in the house are Yuki, the “prince”, Kyo, a destructive person, and Shigure, the legal guardian of the household. Tohru finds out that the Sohma family is cursed. When the opposite sex hugs a Sohma member, they will turn into their respective Zodiac animal. After learning this curse, Tohru is determined to break it and free the Sohma family.

Story-9/10
The plot is unique and interesting. It does a great job on focusing three main characters: Tohru, Yuki, and Kyo. The story focuses on the change of the three characters throughout the manga. But, I thought that the manga gave Yuki more “story” time than Kyo.  What gives the manga a score of nine is the pacing of the story. At some points, the story is slow, and at other points, the story changes its pace and moves fast, which caused me to back-track a couple of times. There are a lot of emotional scenes, but each of them was too similar to each other. The ending was very satisfying, and it did a great job resolving every character’s
problems

Characters-10/10
The strongest point of the manga is the character development. Having three main characters and fifteen-plus supporting characters, I was amazed how the manga developed every character that was introduced. Every character that was shown played their part in the story very well. There was not one character I did not like. If the character wasn’t cool, then they were cute. If the character was cute, then they were cool. Each Sohma family member had a dark past that forced them to act the way they are. My only complaint is that the problems that occurred to each Sohma family member were similar to another. Other than that, Fruit Basket did a great job on character development, showing how each one of the character grew up and changed.

Artwork-9/10
As stated before, if the character didn’t look cool, then they were cute, vice-versa. The artwork fitted the story of the manga. I had some trouble distinguishing male-female characters, but I got used to it. Beautiful sceneries, accompanied by the cute/cool artwork of the characters, the artwork of the manga receive 9/10.

Final Score-10/10

Final Thoughts- I really liked this manga. There were no characters that I disliked, and the background of each one is very emotional. The story does a great job balancing the fifteen-plus characters in the manga, making sure that each one had its “story” time. The concept of using the Zodiac animals was great and original. The artwork made the characters look more feminine, but it was perfect for the story. I recommend reading the manga first, then watching the anime. Simply, because the manga doesn’t feel rush like the anime.

Manga Review: Suzuka

"Why did you have to say that...?"- Suzuka

Synopsis: Yamato Akitsuki moves into the city to go to high school. He stays at his aunt’s all-girls dorm, and cleans the bath houses for rent. Yamato spots a girl doing a high jump in the school yard and instantly falls in love with her. He later finds out that the girl’s name is Suzuka, and Suzuka lives next door to Yamato. Yamato has to win Suzuka’s heart, with his clumsiness, but Suzuka’s heart is filled with the past.

Story- 8/10
I liked the story of Suzuka. But what gives it a score of 8, is some of the unneeded dialogue and some plot holes. I felt after one point of the manga, it began to slow down, but it still kept me interested. Many people were “iffy” about the ending, but I thought it was very satisfying. There are some “tear-jerking “moments, and those moments were the highlight of the manga.

Characters- 9/10
At first, I felt that the characters were going to be generic. You have the clumsy main character that can’t be hated. His “cool” and “girl-chasing” best friend. A shy girl that will eventually learn how to be out going. A Tsundere-type girl that hates the main character. But, why the high score? Because the characters each have their own reasons for being what they are. I felt that the characters grew throughout the whole manga. Each character that was introduced played an important role in the plot, or the main characters’ development.

Artwork-9/10
Well… art can’t be judged, but I give the artwork a 9/10. Simply, because there were a lot of beautiful scenery with Yamato and Suzuka. Each character wore something new every day and to accommodate with the season. I think the artwork was a very strong point for the manga. But warning, there are a couple of “ecchi/fan service” scenes in the manga,… but who’s complaining.

Total Score-9/10

Final Thoughts- I really like this manga. The story was well thought out, and satisfying. The characters were interesting, despite the generic uses. The artwork is beautiful, and should receive more attention that it already has. Read the manga, then watch the anime. The manga gives out more “emotion” than the anime has to offer. Suzuka is a manga that I would read again in the future, just for the fun of it.

Song of the Day: Fruit Basket Intro (Full Version)

I don't know why, but I like Shojo-type(manga that are targeted towards girls) mangas. Maybe, it's because I'm tired of the generic Shonen-type(manga that are targeted towards boys) manga. Either way, Fruit Basket's opening is very relaxing. Reminds me of the old days when this anime was popular.

Song of the Day: Ten wo Tsuke(Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann OST)

"I was sitting on the toilet wondering if I will ever be able to poop, I wondered to myself whether if I should just give up. People seem to poop so easily but me I feel I can't ever be like everyone else. But I listened to this song and it showed me to never give up, so pooped as much as I can, and the biggest poop I ever saw came out. Thank you Gurren Laggan, I owe you my life and more."- A man that was changed by Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Video Game Review: The World Ends With You (DS)

"Listen up, Phones. The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."- Mr. Hanekoma

One of the best games on the DS, The World Ends With You received high praises for its unique story line and gameplay.

Story- 10/10
Neku, the main character, wakes up on a busy Japanese street. He has no memories of his past, and is suddenly attacked by monsters called “Noise”. A girl comes by and makes a pact with Neku, allowing the both of them to fight the Noise. Neku finds out that he died, and he is now in a game. The only way to win is to make it through 7 days in the game.
At first, I thought the beginning was too generic. But as the story unfolds, the game becomes more like an anime. The twists and turns in the plot are predictable. But, the ending really wraps everything up. It was very satisfying, so good that a direct sequel to this game may ruin the series.

Character Development-10/10
The character development is on par with Chrono Trigger. Everyone had their own background, even the enemies.  You could see how Neku changed from being a loner to a guy that opened himself up to the world. There are even side quests, like Chrono Trigger, to get more back story on Neku and his friends.

Gameplay-9/10
The gameplay is a hit-or-miss. People were turned down by the steep learning curve. You control Neku on the bottom screen with the stylus. Neku attacks with pins, and every pin works in a different way. Some requires you to slash the enemy, and others require you to tap the ground. While Neku is controlled at the bottom screen, his partner will be controlled at the top. The partner is controlled with the D-pad or the A-B-X-Y buttons. Each partner has their own way of fighting, which was difficult for people. Controlling two characters at a time were difficult at times, but the game was nice enough to allow an A.I to control the top character. If the game was getting too difficult at some point in the game, you could lower the difficulty, and change your amount of HP. There is very little grinding in this game. While Neku does level up, his pins are able to level up too. Once the pins reached their maxed level, the pins are mastered, and can evolve into new ones. Sure this all seems confusing, but the game does a well job explaining everything.

Presentation-10/10
This game felt like an anime to me. Maybe it was the story, or maybe it was the art. Everything was colorful and interesting to see. The attention to the details of the surroundings, and the people walking in it is second-to-none.

Music-9/10
Again, another hit-or-miss. Japanese hip-hop songs are played throughout the whole game. I enjoyed the music very much, but some songs were overplayed too much for my liking.

Final Score-10/10
The story is original and unique. Gameplay is hard to learn, but eventually it will be easier after practicing. The anime style drawing with the Japanese hip-hop really sets the mood for the modern day Japan. I really recommend this game because it is perfect in every way.

The Good
-Interesting story
-Beautiful graphics
-Awesome soundtrack
-Very satisfying ending

The Bad
-Some people may find the game too short
-Again, some people may find the gameplay too hard

Anime Review: The Sky Crawlers

If you were expecting an action based anime, like I did, then this film isn't for you. The Sky Crawlers revolves more around the world and how the characters interact in it.

Story-8/10
“Kildren”, young adults that cannot age, fight in an endless war against each other. The film follows a young experienced pilot that transferred into a new air base. It shows how the Kildren reacts to the war and how they endure being thrown into battle every day.
That is all I can say without spoiling the story. The story is really slow. It takes its time to introduce its characters, have development, and hit the climax. If the story was faster paced, it would have received a 9/10.

Animation-10/10
The animation of this film is gorgeous. The way the characters are drawn out, and the environment they interact in, the production team did a good job.

However, the fight scenes are amazing. The perfect use of CG planes and the actual footage of the sky really separate this film from other films about planes.

Awesome dogfight between two large groups of planes.

Music-10/10
Music was really fitting for the film. Epic music for the dogfights and sad music for the emotional moments. So good, I got the OST.

Final Score-9/10
Like I stated before, if you can get over the slow paced story, then this film will be enjoyable.

Best of Video Game Soundtracks: Animal Crossing: Wild World

"Aw crap! Tom Nook better not close!"- domodragon53

Animal Crossing, made by Nintendo, plays out a lot like Harvest Moon. But the only difference, you don’t have to farm. Animal Crossing is my personal favorite “stress-reliever” game. The fact that Animal Crossing is so peaceful is the music. Here are my favorites, in no particular order, from Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS).

Title Screen (Extended)
This track is really relaxing, perfect for a stressful day. I love the use of string instruments, and the pauses from this track. Perfect for a summer stroll in a field, this track is a must for those lazy days.

The Roost
A tune that can differentiate from person to person, The Roost is a café in Animal Crossing: Wild World. Some people find this track sad, others find it romantic. I find it relaxing for the hot summer nights, just gazing at the stars.

2 AM
Animal Crossing: Wild World had a 2 minute track for every hour of the day. From 6 AM to 5 AM, my favorite is 2 AM. Just staying up late, fishing for fishes, shaking and collect fruits from trees, collecting bugs, 2 AM is a track that is just reserved for the player to walk around the night, and enjoy the silence. Perfect song for thinking on a stressful day.

There are plenty of songs from the game that are soothing. I recommend you to check them all out.

Best of Video Game Soundtracks: Resident Evil 3

"Aww F*&K!! Ran out of ink ribbon!"- domodragon53

Resident Evil 3 is one of the best games in the survival horror genre. I am currently playing RE3, and I love the soundtrack for the game. The music is very dark and scary which sets the mood for the game very well. From the eerie police station hallways to the intense boss fights, RE3 delivers an amazing array of music. Here are my personal picks, in no specific order, from the RE3 soundtrack.

The City of Ruin/ Raccoon City Up-Town Theme
Cars are on fire. Dead bodies littered on the ground. The stench of rotten flesh in the air.  This track basically says “Everyone’s dead. You are all alone. And… there’s a zombie behind you.”A very depressing theme and makes me feel empty inside, which makes this track a good example of the game setting the dark mood.

Nemesis’ Theme 1

“Jill...Jill..”-wounded Brad slowly walked toward Jill.
"Brad?" Jill walked up to Brad.
"We gotta-“
Jump sound-Nemesis came from the rooftop of the police station.
“Rahhhh!!!" Brad quickly runs to a corner while Jill quickly back up.
"Jill...Jill help! NOOOO!!!"-Nemesis picks up Brad by his right shoulder,
smashes his tentacles vein through Brad, killing him as Nemesis tosses Brad aside.
"Brad…?" Jill walked towards the dead body.
"S.T.A.R.S." Nemesis walked toward Jill.
-“Fight the monster.”
-“Enter the police station.”

Nemesis’ first appearance and you already crapped your pants, good job. When you hear this track for the first time, you knew you were dead because you had nothing bigger than a pistol. This track set the mood for the battle and his first appearance.

Free From Fear- Save Room Theme
Well hearing this track puts me at ease because I know that Nemesis can’t break into this room. This track is not only a safe haven, but it sets the tone of imminent danger that lies ahead. Another memorable track from the game.

Staff and Credits
Well from hearing this amazing track, I was surprised that there was such an uplifting song in the game. This track gives a feeling of “Ah… it’s over. It’s finally over…”. Many RE fans agree that RE3 “credit” music is one of the best in the series. Perfect song to end a fantastic game.

The Doom City/ Mercenaries Theme
After the game is finished, a “mini” game will be playable, The Mercenaries. You can play as the mercenaries Jill met throughout the game. A badass theme for a badass group of people.

Game Preview: Solatorobo: Red the Hunter

"That's not a sword, it's a stun gun..."

Synopsis-The floating islands of the Shepherd Republic houses two different race, humanoid cats and dogs. A male dog, Red Savarin, boards an air ship to retrieve stolen files, but instead, Red finds a medallion. The ship is attacked by unknown beings, and forces Red to escape. During his escape, Red rescues a cat, Elh Melizee. As Red uncovers the mystery about the medallion, Red also discovers more of Elh’s hidden past.

Well, just from the story, I can already sense a couple of generic RPG plot elements. But putting the plot the game aside, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter plays out like a 3D platformer. When I first saw the trailer, the first thing that came into my mind was Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagun. Instead of using a drill, Red’s robot, DAHAK, throws enemies around. The player can chain combos by throwing enemies into the air and at others. Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is supposed to be the spiritual sequel to Tail Concerto, for the Playstaion. The graphics on from this game is amazing well done. I’ve been waiting for a good DS game, and I believe Solatorobo: Red the Hunter will keep me occupied for a while.

Opening Scene

Best of Video Game Soundtracks: Secret of Mana

Secret of Mana is one of the most memorable games for the SNES. Easy gameplay, unique storyline, and a great presentation, Secret of Mana have drilled itself into the hearts of many gamers. But the number one thing that keeps gamers coming back for Secret of Mana is the music itself. The music from this gem is magical.

Fear of the Heavens/Title Theme
One of the most recognizable music in Secret of Mana, Fear of the Heavens is played at the title screen, foretelling what the game has in store for the player. Due to its popularity, Fear of the Heavens also has an orchestral version. I believe the orchestral version is the more powerful version, but due to nostalgia, many gamers prefer the 16bit version.

Original

Orchestral

Danger AND Mana Beast Battle Theme
Both are epic pieces of music that really sets the mood for a boss battle.

Danger

Mana Beast Battle Theme

I Won’t Forget
Maybe the saddest piece in Secret of Mana, I Won’t Forget is another version of Fear of the Heavens, but slower. This music piece leaves the player the memorable adventure they experienced in Secret of Mana. If anymore is said, the story would be spoiled.

Best of Anime Soundtracks: Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva

The first movie of the best selling game, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva is an animated film that takes place after Professor Layton and the Last Specter, but before Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. For the first movie of the series, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva received high praises for being faithful to the plot of the series, unlike many other movies that were based off of video games, the animation, and most importantly the music. Here are my personal favorites from the movie in no particular order.

Puzzle No. 001
Like the video games, the movie had well thought out puzzles. Also, Puzzle No. 001 is similar to the games due to its “musical box” tone.

Puzzle No. 003
As the movie progresses into a serious tone, so does the music. The later puzzles that Professor Layton has to solve are through life and death situation. I like how the music of the puzzle changed from a happy tone to a darker tone.

Overture to Destruction
As Professor Layton and company advance further into the mystery, the stakes are raised. I really like this piece because it seems to be comparable to the Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright game that is coming out.

Final Battle
What? It turns out that not only is Professor Layton is a gentleman, but he is excellent at sword play. Nearing to the end of the movie, Layton fights of Descole on a giant robot that is headed towards an ancient city to destroy it.

There are many other pieces that I enjoyed, but these are the pieces that stuck into my mind the most.

Best of Video Game Soundtracks: Final Fantasy Adventure

From my review of the game, I enjoyed the soundtrack of Final Fantasy Adventure. In no particular order, here are my favorites!

Endless Battlefield: This is Final Fantasy Adventure’s overworld theme. From playing the game, the title of the song really tells a lot about the game. There is an endless amount of enemies, which turns the land into an Endless Battlefield.

Battle 2/Fight 2: Played for the later bosses, and it should be played for the later bosses, because this music makes the battles tenser. The boss battles are already hard enough, and Battle 2/Fight 2 only makes your hands sweatier than before.

In Sorrow- This music just makes the emotional piece sadder. The song tells about the sacrifices made to prevent evil from rising.

Tekken: Blood Vengeance

"Better not be crap, like the live action one!"

Synopsis: Tekken: Blood Vengeance follows Ling Xiaoyu as she infiltrates a school in Kyoto and gathers information on a suspicious student, Shin Kamiya. Things turn for the worse, as Shin is kidnapped and Ling Xiaoyu joins with Alisa Bosconovitch to learn that Mishima Zaibatsu.

Tekken: Blood Vengeance will be in CG, unlike the other live action movie. Directed by Youchi Mori (Tekken 5/6 CG openings), with the screen play by Dai Sato (Cowboy Bepop and Ghost in Shell: Stand Alone Complex), and the production by Digital Frontier (Resident Evil: Regeneration). From these names alone, I have high hopes for this movie. Just from the trailer, I know the fight scenes would be epic. I just hope they also show Asuka Kazama.

Coming out in the summer of 2011.

Final Fantasy Adventure (Game Boy)

Final Fantasy + The Legend of Zelda= Final Fantasy Adventure

What a very misleading title. Final Fantasy Adventure has nothing to do with the Final Fantasy RPG from SquareSoft, but it is the first installment of the Mana series, such as Secret of Mana(SNES) and Legend of Mana(PSX). Final Fantasy Adventure had a remake for the Game Boy Advance called Sword of Mana.

Story-9/10
For a GameBoy game, Final Fantasy Adventure’s story was well done. Hero, whatever name you named him but will be referred as “Hero” in this review, is a gladiator that fights for the Dark Lord’s enjoyment.  Hero escapes from the fight one day, and he overhears Dark Lord and Julius talking about the removal of the Mana Tree. Hero is knocked off a waterfall, and realizes that he must protect the Mana Tree. Hero makes friends that help him fight on his quest to the Mana Tree.
There are a couple of twists and tragic moments that gives the story a high score. Minus one point from the awkward dialogue exchanged between Hero and others.

Gameplay-10/10
Imagine, from the gameplay of the Legend of Zelda mixed in with RPG elements, and the result is Final Fantasy Adventure. Final Fantasy Adventure has an overhead perspective like the Legend of Zelda, with the hack and slash system. From the hack and slash system, the player is given a power bar, or. The power bar fills up overtime, IF the player does not attack. When the power bar fills up, the player can execute special attacks with each different weapon given to the player. Unlike the Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy Adventure allows the hero to use magic, which is pretty simple. Magic is used by “equipping” it from the menu, and by pressing “B” the magic is used. Magic can only be obtained after certain events in the game.
As the player fights monster, experience points and gold are given. Eventually the player will level up, allowing the player to upgrade one of four stats: 1) Power, increases attack. 2) Wisdom increases MP. 3) Stamina, increases HP and defense. 4) Will, increase the speed of the power bar.  If, say power is selected, the power stat will be given 2 points, going from 1 to 3, while the other stats will be increased by 1, going from 1 to 2.

Presentation-8/10
For a GameBoy game, Final Fantasy Adventure looks better the other games for the system. Each enemy could be distinguish from an other. Some of the sprites are taken from the Final Fantasy game, such as the white mage and the moogles. Final Fantasy Adventure’s music was well done and catchy. Just like the Legend of Zelda overworld theme, Final Fantasy Adventure’s overworld theme was pretty good.

The Good:
-Familiar gameplay mechanics
- RPG elements
-Story that sets up Secret of Mana
-Implements the usage of the different weapons

The Bad:
-Way too easy if the player level grinds
-Some people may find the game too short
Overall score: 9/10

Chronicles of FluffyBunnyPwn: Legend of The Prophecy

“The Prophecy is uncertain. There is always hope.”- Zeratul

Everyone welcomed the first sight of snow. Eventually everyone grew tired of the bland whiteness of the land. Snow turned into blizzards and storms. The warm hearts of the people of FluffyBunnyPwn turned into sick cold hearts. The god, Domo, was nowhere to be found. Ever since the snow first landed on the island, Domo mysteriously vanished. The numbers of gods present was dropped to four: MonkeyKidd, BakaNeko, SoaringHawk, and FluffyBunnyPwn herself.  All four gods agreed to find their Domo before it was too late. Each of them, descended towards the island, one right after another. Leaving a trail of light behind them, the inhabitants of the island believed that the gods were just shooting stars.

Feet first onto the ground, the gods were greeted by the unusual amount of snow that fell to the ground. SoaringHawk pointed at the suspicious fortress. The gods flew towards the fortress quickly because they all sensed that the wind carried bad omen. The fortress was once a successful marketplace for travelers and merchants. It was well known to be one of the holiest place on the island. But ever since the snow began to fall, the fortress was abandoned by the people. The gods reached the gates of the fortress. MonkeyKidd knocked the gates down with a single punch, followed by a strong gust of wind that came out of the fortress. The gods ran into the fortress, only to find Domo chained onto the wall, unconscious. FluffyBunnyPwn raised his Crescent Bow, prepared to set Domo free from the chains. Suddenly, frost goblins drops from the high ceiling. FluffyBunnyPwn shoots four goblins as they fall down. BakaNeko is thrown by MonkeyKidd towards the frost goblins that are still falling. BakaNeko grips onto his saber tightly and stabs one of the goblins. He then jumps onto another falling goblin and stab it. SoaringHawk swings his spear, easily clearing out a crowd of rushing goblins. The gods fought until the goblins ceased to fall. Bodies littered on the ground.

The gods hear a laugh. They tighten their grips onto their weapons, and look around the room. In the darkest corner, right next to where Domo was chained, a witch stepped out.

“I knew you find your way here, eventually,” said the frost witch, Gen-Cara. The dark infested witch stepped into the light, followed by her serpent-like minions, the Fanglisc.

“Your very presence defiles this place, Gen-Cara,” said FluffyBunnyPwn. The gods banded closer together, fearing that Gen-Cara may use her witchcraft on them.

“Do you hear them gods? Whispering from the winds,” Gen-Cara stepped closer, “The planet will burn. They’re coming.”

The gods looked at each other, analyzing what Gen-Cara is foretelling. “Perhaps…” says MonkeyKidd, backing away from the group. He jumps back and disappears into the darkness. Gen-Cara looking around for the god. “But, you won’t live to see it!” MonkeyKidd jumps from behind Gen-Cara. She catches his punch and throws him at the feet of the other gods. The gods rushed together towards Gen-Cara. She stops the gods by striking into the air with her hand. Ice creeps from the ground and onto their feet. The gods realize that the frost witch is freezing them.

“Please, our petty conflict means nothing now.” says Gen-Cara, as she smiles at the half frozen gods. , “A storm is coming, that cannot be stopped. Fitting, that we should face oblivion together!”

“Never!” BakaNeko throws his saber at the frost witch, stabbing her arm into the wall. The ice stops freezing at the waists of the gods. Gen-Cara reaches for the saber, but FluffyBunnyPwn shoots an arrow that hits the witch’s hand and also goes into the wall.

“Fate, cannot be changed. When the end comes, I will welcome it.” Says Gen-Cara calmly. Her Fanglisks launched themselves towards the gods, spitting out poisonous projectiles. While the gods were busy fighting off the Fanglisks, Gen-Cara freed herself from the wall and walked towards Domo. She waited until the last Fanglisk fell onto the ground. The gods recovered themselves and charged towards the frost witch.

“Stop right there. You wouldn’t want me to hurt your brother, would you?” Gen-Cara held a knife onto Domo’s throat. The gods hesitated, but stood there ground. Gen-Cara whispered into Domo’s ear, awaking him from his slumber. “I want you to watch. Watch how your brothers die in there desperate attempt in rescuing you.” Gen-Cara turned to the gods, “You should be glad, that you are the first to be feasted by the Void Walker!” The frost witch casted a barrier above her and Domo. The fortress began to crumble, and the gods attacked and broke every stone that came on top of them.

Seeing the snow fall on top of the gods, Gen-Cara summoned Void Walker from the debris of the fortress. The Void Walker, clamping its crab-like hands, roared at the gods. The gods looked at each other, and nodded. Soaring Hawk, BakaNeko, and MonkeyKidd charged towards the monster, leaving FluffyBunnyPwn to charge her Crescent Bow. The Void Walker slammed its arms onto the ground and vanished. The gods stopped and examined the area for the monster. Suddenly, the Void Walker dropped from the sky, and slammed its arm onto BakaNeko. It grabbed him, and threw BakaNeko at SoaringHawk. SoaringHawk swing his spear at BakaNeko, allowing BakaNeko to be launched at the Void Walker at top speed. Ready to swing his saber at the monster, the Void Walker vanished again. BakaNeko landed onto the ground safely. FluffyBunnyPwn yelled at MonkeyKidd, as he ran towards Gen-Cara. Right before his fist could touch Gen-Cara, the Void Walker appeared infront of MonkeyKidd. MonkeyKidd smiled and rolled out of the way. Right behind him was FluffyBunnyPwn’s arrow that was enchanted with “Psi Disrupter”. It landed into the chest of the Void Walker. The monster began to roar as the arrow disrupted the Void Walker’s power. Unable to vanish like before, the Void Walker began to swing its arms. Blinded by rage, the Void Walker rushed towards FluffyBunnyPwn. FluffyBunnyPwn turned herself into her “beast-form”, and launched herself into the air, causing the monster to be under her. She shot arrows onto the head of the monster. BakaNeko and SoaringHawk both stabbed the head of the monster, killing the Void Walker. MonkeyKidd grabbed the Void Walker and threw it towards the frost witch.

Gen-Cara threw Domo into the way of the Void Walker. FluffyBunnyPwn caught Domo before he smashed into the monster. The gods regrouped together, reviving Domo.

“Domo, you seen it all. It is the only reason why I have kept you here. It is why you went missing since the first snow fell onto the ground. Tell them of your visions.” Said Gen-Cara, as she disappeared into the blizzard. The snowfall ceased. The skies were clear to the gods now.

“This island is ours witch!” yelled FluffyBunnyPwn.

“No… this planet is theirs…” said Domo, pointing at the stars.

Chronicles of FluffyBunnyPwn: Legend of The Crescent Bow

"Carvings of the moon and stars adorn this bow, said to be the favored weapon of the Moon Goddess."- Crescent Bow

A little something to spice up the battle scenes...

The moon shined brightly for 3 months straight. None of the inhabitants of FluffyBunnyPwn understood what was going on. Not even the gods themselves knew. The gods of FluffyBunnyPwn concluded that the full moon meant tidings of doom. The waves rose higher and higher each passing night. Sightings of creatures with fins and scales, from fishermen, told about their trips to the sea. MonkeyKidd suggested that the gods should watch and observe the sea and the shores of the island. Three nights passed. SoaringHawk spotted a gigantic turtle, with an island on its back, swimming ever so slowly towards the island. FluffyBunnyPwn decided to confront the turtle and ask why the only the moon has shown in the sky. She descended down to the beach, in the form of a human with wings, and flew towards the sea turtle.

As she got closer and closer to the sea turtle, FluffyBunnyPwn saw a tower in the middle of the turtle’s back. FluffyBunnyPwn saw the sea turtle was nothing but an undead vessel, carrying what was left of its island. FluffyBunnyPwn flew onto the unknown island, on the back of the sea turtle, and was greeted by a group of Murlocs, an amphibian race of humanoid fish. FluffyBunnyPwn flew into the air, and pulled out her Crescent Bow, carved from the moon and stars and is said to be adorn by the moon goddess herself.  She did not hesitate to release a volley of arrows to the ten Murlocs. Before one of the Murlocs died, it cried a warning to the other creatures of the island. FluffyBunnyPwn felt the tension of the air changed. She called the other gods to her aid to help her purge the creatures on the turtle. A piercing cry, a loud roar, and the beating of the chest, SoaringHawk, Domo, and MonkeyKidd descended onto and around FluffyBunnyPwn. SoaringHawk tightened his grip on the Partisan Lance. Domo readied the Sol Sword. MonkeyKidd raised the White Fangs Gauntlets. FluffyBunnyPwn pointed at the tower, for she assumed the source of the dark magic was from there.

Along their way, the gods met, fought, and killed Murlocs and undead creatures. Domo led the way towards the tower, for the Sol Sword emitted a bright light for the party. Suddenly, the ground shook. The gods wasted no time, and ran straight to the tower. Behind the gods, there was a larger creature, larger than the sea turtle itself. It was the sea demon, Vashj the queen of the Nagas. She forced the sea turtle to re-route itself. The gods saw the demon, and proceeded into the tower.

The tower had ancient text all around it. Murlocs were crawling everywhere in the tower. The gods readied their weapons. They waited outside of the door, in front of the entrance room. FluffyBunnyPwn signaled MonkeyKidd, and he kicked the door wide open. FluffyBunnyPwn rolled into the room and used “Blinding Star”. The Murlocs in the room were dazed. Domo and SoaringHawk took out the Murlocs before they could recover. In the entrance room, there were two doors. One led to the stairs on the outside of the tower, where as the other led to the stairs inside the tower. The gods decided to split into two teams. MonkeyKidd and FluffyBunnyPwn ran outside, while Domo and SoaringHawk continued inside the tower.

Running out in the cold, with the tower consistently shaking, MonkeyKidd and FluffBunnyPwn saw Vashj battling the sea turtle. FluffyBunnyPwn could see Murlocs climbing onto off the demon and attacking her. The demon used her trident and stabbed on the back of the turtle, causing the tower to dip sideways. Vashj released a swarm of harpies onto the island to counter the Murlocs. The harpies noticed the scent of the gods and went for them instead. MonkeyKidd noticed the Naga demon looking at their direction. She smiled. FluffyBunnyPwn used “Rapid Shot” and took down 5 harpies. MonkeyKidd fought off the harpies that got too close to the tower. They ran and fought. MonkeyKidd pulled out an ancient card and casted a spell on it. Suddenly, the harpies stopped flying. Bright swords surrounded the harpies, disabling their movements. The two gods continued forward.

Meanwhile, Domo and SoaringHawk encountered a large Murloc. The creature rammed into the wall, causing the tower to lean down. Domo lost his footing, and slid down to the large Murloc. SoaringHawk used “Jump” and caught the creature by surprise. The creature was stabbed in the back, and Domo ran towards it and sliced its hands off. The large Murloc cried for help. Suddenly, a large group of Murlocs appeared from the doors. Domo and SoaringHawk were pushed back to back. SoaringHawk made a high pitch screech, which stunned the nearby Murlocs. Domo and SoaringHawk finished the stunned Murlocs, only to find more to fill their place. Suddenly, the walls of the tower broke in the room. Harpies flown in everywhere, attacking the Murlocs by surprise. Domo and SoaringHawk escaped onto the stairs, and ran to the higher floors.

The bright swords dissolved a while ago. FluffyBunnyPwn and MonkeyKidd reached to the top of the tower only to find a stand. The two gods were confused. Screeching noises from the distance, the two gods braced themselves for more harpies to come. FluffyBunnyPwn shot down the harpies that were close by. She then took her great bow apart, and was now holding twin daggers. MonkeyKidd was confronted by a larger harpy. He managed to cut the creatures leg, but the harpy was able to grab his hand. Before the harpy could take off into the air with the god, MonkeyKidd grabbed the Harpy’s leg and pulled it closer to him. He punched the throat of the harpy, cutting it wide open. The harpy loosened its grip and flew off, not too far for it fell to its death. FluffyBunnyPwn jumped onto of harpy and stabbed its back. Before the harpy could fall to the tower, FluffyBunnyPwn jumper onto another harpy and killed it too. MonkeyKidd ignored that strategy, and just kept on pulling harpies in and slicing them in their throats. The number of harpies soon became less and less, until the final one fell to the tower. The top of the was littered with dead harpies. MonkeyKidd watched in the distance, as the Naga demon was faltering. The Murlocs were overwhelming her. FluffyBunnyPwn reattached her great bow back together. The two gods waited for the second wave.

Domo smashed the last Murloc onto the wall. SoaringHawk motioned Domo to see the last floor just before the top of the tower. A Faceless was in there, expecting the two gods. It banged its two tentacles onto the ground. Domo casted a light spell onto his sword that made it shined. SoaringHawk jumped off from wall to wall to the ceiling. The Faceless, still occupied with Domo, swung its tentacle at Domo. Domo managed to slice its tentacle off. SoaringHawk, pointing the  Partisan Lance straight down at the monster, was falling at a great speed. The Faceless noticed SoaringHawk’s move, and shrouded himself on a barrier. Thinking that he could break through the barrier, SoaringHawk pushed on, only to be bounced back onto the ground. Domo, shaking uncontrollably, transformed himself into a Drakonid, a humanoid dragon-kin. He flew towards the barrier, and swung the Sol Sword at the barrier. The barrier faded and the Faceless knocked Domo back onto the wall. Right after its attack, SoaringHawk stabbed the monster through its armor. The Faceless cried in pain, for SoaringHawk attacked it in its weak point, the back. The Faceless grabbed SoaringHawk with its tentacles and threw him onto the wall. The monster backed itself up against the other side of the wall. Both the gods stepped forward, now knowing the secret to defeat the monster. Domo spewed out fire to the monster. The monster flinched at the fire. In retaliation the Faceless stepped forward to grab Domo. SoaringHawk jumped from the wall behind Domo and moved at an incredible speed. He reached the wall behind the Faceless, and before the Faceless can move, SoaringHawk used “Jump-Break” and jumped right through the Faceless’ back. The monster was defeated. Domo spewed out fire onto the body, fearing that monster maybe able to revive itself. SoaringHawk and Domo continued onto the rooftop of the tower.

Finishing the fourth wave of Harpies, Domo kicked the door open, only to find FluffyBunnyPwn and MonkeyKidd in their “beast” form. SoaringHawk noticed the Naga demon was still fighting the Murlocs on her body, along with the harpies. The Naga demon smashed her trident onto the back of the sea turtle, causing the tower to lean further back. The movement of the tower slid all the bodies of the enemy onto the ground revealing the stand that FluffyBunnyPwn and MonkeyKidd saw before. Recognizing the stand, Domo stabbed the Sol Blade into the stand. The sea turtle cried. Suddenly, a bright light flashed from the sword, it shined onto the Crescent Bow of FluffyBunnyPwn. She grabbed her bow, pointed to the sky, and shot an arrow to the moon. The sea turtle cried loud this time. The island began to shake. SoaringHawk took form of his “beast”. The tower began to crumble under the gods’ feet. They jumped down onto the ground. The Naga demon stabbed the sea turtle on its head, killing the island. She then casted a spell to disable the gods from casting their own spell, for the demon knew if the gods perished with the turtle, then the island of FluffyBunnyPwn would be her new kingdom.

The ground was shaking. The forest of the island were falling apart. The Murlocs fell dead to the ground. The gods ran swiftly through the crumbling island. At the shore of the island, MonkeyKidd threw FluffyBunnyPwn towards the Naga. The gods knew that once the sun would shine again, there will always be the threat of invasion from the Naga demon. Before she could fall onto the water, Domo ran swiftly on top of the water, and caught FluffyBunnyPwn. Domo threw her further towards the Naga. SoaringHawk got under FluffyBunnyPwn before she hit the water and flew straight up in the air. With the momentum of the two previous throws, SoaringHawk could not compete with the speed. FluffyBunnyPwn jumped off of the back of SoaringHawk, readied her Crescent Bow, and jumped higher than she ever had. Soon, in mid air, she met the gaze of the Naga demon, for a split second. Still having the light from the Sol Sword, FluffyBunnyPwn shot a “Grace” at the face of the demon. The Naga demon was killed in an instance. Harpies flown out from the inside of the demon. FluffyBunnyPwn grabbed onto the leg of a harpy and jumped her way towards the home island, while killing the harpies. The rest of the gods saw the fall of the Naga demon, and rode on top of SoaringHawk to the home island.

The next day, the sun rose up. The people of the island were overjoyed. The gods of the island flew back into the heavens and watched over the people. The Crescent Bow and the Sol Sword became the “Yin and Yang” of the island. The two weapons became the symbol of balance.
