Jubei Yagyu adalah seorang pendekar dari Jepang yang terkuat. Keterampilan Nya menjadikannya menjadi legendaris, semua musuh yang di hadapinya dapat dikalahkan, keuali satu, yaitu kematian. Sebelum ia meningal, dia berkata akan mewaiskan ilmunya kepada muridnya yang akan menjadi pngantinya dan orang tersebut pantas menerima semua kekuatan dan keterampilan Yagyu Jubei, bersama dengan Eyepatch.

Setelah 300 tahun mencari, akhirnya dia menmukan orang tersebut, yang bernama Jiyu Nanohana, seorang gadis biasa-biasa yang baru saja pindah ke sebuah kota baru dan mulai pergi ke sekolah baru.
