Dua siswa sekolah tinggi yang bernama Sho Fukamachi dan Tetsuro Segawa tidak sengaja menemukan sebuah benda yang disebut the Guyver Units, karena penasaran benda apa itu,, Sho melihat sambil mengutak atik benda terebut, tanpa sengaja sho mengaktifkan Guyver tersebut,sehingga benda itupun menyatu dengannya, yang menjadikannya sebagai "Guyver I." Sekarang, Sho harus berjuang untuk hidupnya dan orang-orang yang dekat dengan dia melawan Zoanoids yang dikirim dikirim oleh Chronos Corporation untuk menccari dan mendapatkan Guyver.
